  • Triggers from the past: language or communication history
  • Hidden messages

  • Setting boundaries
  • Respecting space
  • Pause
  • Breathe
  • Prepare
  • Seeing it differently; using a different perspective
  • Standing in the other’s shoes
  • Respect diversity and different cultures
  • Be inclusive always
