Business Emotional Intelligence

from Emotions & Behaviours at Work (EBW) https://lnkd.in/g_W5dKak

Emotional Intelligence is a broad concept to describe how we can use our emotions to impact our behaviour.
Whereas Business Emotional Intelligence is a practical, work-based approach to Emotional Intelligence that helps individuals and teams understand why people behave the way they do and how to maximise their engagement with, and performance at, work.
Essentially, it is about being a lot more focused on those critical emotions and underlying behavioural traits that predict your leaders’ and teams’ occupational performance.
Having diverse characters in an organisation means people see things differently and have differing views about where to focus and what to do. This doesn’t make life easy, but it’s the fuel for creativity, agility and resilience.
Business Emotional Intelligence helps leaders and teams understand the mix and balance of people, to define where they can excel, and where they may need help.
