StrengthsFinder - the introduction to my 5
We’re always intrigued, I think, well, I am. And maybe we are always intrigued to find out what our strengths are. Find out what we think we don’t know, or maybe to have confirmed what we think we do know.
So, back in 2015 on the 20th of April, to be precise, I completed a StrengthsFinder, assessment, and received my Strengths Insight Guide with my top five themes. My top five themes came out as a Maximiser, Strategic, Self assurance, Positivity and Ideation.
So what I’m going to do is to go through the 5 and briefly say something about the general aspects of each of those five. Then I’m going to go through the five concentrating on each one separately.
Maximiser: the general shared theme description is that people who are especially talented in the Maximiser theme focus on strengths as a way to stimulate personal and group, excellence. They seek to transform something strong into something super.
Strategic: the shared theme description is that people who are especially talented in the strategic theme create alternative ways to proceed. Faced with any given scenario, they can quickly spot the relevant patterns, and issues
Positivity: shared theme description describes people who are especially talented in the positivity theme have an enthusiasm that is contagious. They’re upbeat and can get others excited about what they’re going to do. That’s me!
Ideation: shared theme description highlights that people who are especially talented in the ideation theme are fascinated by ideas, they’re able to find connections between similar seemingly disparate phenomena. This is me too, I think. Well, this is my StrengthsFinder, of course.
Self assurance: this shared theme description features that people who are especially talented in the self assurance theme feel confident in their ability to manage their own lives. They possess an inner compass that gives them confidence that decisions are right.
So, if you want to find out what your strengths are, you need to complete a Strengths Finder. Enjoy doing that. And what will be coming up now, five more snippets from the harbourside sharing more about the detail of these five elements for me. The five strengths for me, and also a couple of questions. You might find them interesting. And you might not. You might spot yourself in one or more of my five. Do dip in and see the Snippets from the harbourside on my website www.halinajaroszewska.com
